About
The first ramen restaurant of “Yaguchiya” opened in Yokohama, Japan in 1994. In 1997, the second restaurant opened in Hiratsuka City. Yaguchiya has welcomed and served its customers for over 20 years.
The soup is made from pork bones, chicken, and Yaguchiya’s secret soy sauce recipe. Chicken oil, tender noodles, spinach, chashu (pork slices), and seaweed are all added to the soup to create the authentic Yaguchiya ramen recipe.

Definitely the best the most authentic Japanese ramen in Burnaby. Soup base is rich and flavorful. Good portion. Already thinking about going back. Very limited seating though.

Decent portion of ramen. Soup is very rich and tasty. With the special sauce/condiment mix they provided, it take the ramen experience to the next level. I would definitely come again.

Great location and fairly decent menu. Glad to see they had a vegan option which was quite tasty. Service was good and fast.

Standard ramen flavours, nothing too wild, but it was satisfying. I had the special ramen, which came loaded with leeks (a nice change from green onions). Noodles are very thick and have a good bite. I found out after you can also choose the strength of the broth and level of oil (which I will keep in mind for next time).

I've decided to give this place a go because it's raining today and the review seems good. And boy does this bowl of ramen hit the spot. I've ordered the regular Yaguchiya special ramen and the soup is a touch salty but otherwise really tasty, hearty chicken soup, the noodles were firm just the way I like it. The lady at the front is really friendly albeit her English doesn't seems to be very good so when asking a complicated question she gets a little confused. All in all, this is definitely a store I would revisit in the future.

Did some shopping at metrotown and was recommended this place by a friend. The place is a little small but I was lucky to sit down right away. Quick and friendly staff. I was recommended the house special. The soup was hot and delicious and the noodle portion was quite generous. I'll be back to try a different one next time!

Finally, I don't have to travel all the way downtown for good ramen! I come to this place every Friday after work because the food is always good and the chef from Japan makes his ramen just like when I lived in Yokohama. If I feel like something lighter, I order the vegan ramen even though I'm a meat-eater. I do recommend you request the non-vegan regular egg noodles though if you aren't vegan, because they aren't as soft.
5 stars! 美味しい!

We went here for dinner around 6 ish on. Saturday and there wasn’t any line. I ordered a special but medium size. When our food came the waiter said that they accidentally made mine a regular instead of a medium and that they will bring some more noodles out and more broth if I wanted more.
Slowly after a cute Japanese old man(guessing he was the chef) came out apologized profusely and gave me my extra bowl. He absolutely didn’t need to do that and I would have never noticed, sincere politeness and chivalry doesn’t exist anymore but this showed me hope.
Truly a Japanese authentic restaurant in the integrity they work with.

Such a great spot! Broth was flavourful and toppings were plentiful. I had a medium special ramen with everything at the standard level and was really impressed! Service was excellent and attentive I will 10/10 come back.
I would say the pork buns were a little dry, but the ramen was so good I can't give it less than 5 stars.

Fantastic broth, great choice and control of soup options. Place is small but had a reasonable wait (10 minutes) during the noon hour lunch rush. My friend likes hard noodles and was pleasantly surprised that they had the option.

This is my boyfriend and I’s favourite ramen place! Very fast service and the server is always very nice, and most importantly the ramen is delicious! The pastes they give you to add to the broth really enhances the overall flavour as well.

I enjoyed this ramen place as the broth was not too heavy or creamy. The price is reasonable given the option size for ramen in the city as well. They aren't very big so depending on when you come, there may be some waiting during peak meal hours. Friendly staff. They have ginger and garlic jars as well for flavouring of your soup!

Just came back from Tokyo, and this placed definitely satisfied my ramen craving. Quite a hidden gem! One of the few places that had the same types of noodles we had in Japan (texture, taste, etc)

Don't think 矢口家is good Reman, the broth are very very salty, the noodle is not likes 一蘭which is in Japan. Can't compare with 一蘭. Their noodle just social and no egg on it, only 2 pcs of pork , the pork taste so funny (not fresh). Just a bit of spinach and few pcs of dry seaweeds on it. Don't think will go 矢口家 again. 🙁

Wonderful experience! My entire family came out with me for our first visit here and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were welcoming and warm, the ramen was nothing short of rich and delicious (we all got different variations and they were each incredible in their own way; if I had to choose a favorite, though, their house special ramen was amazing), and the broth was perfection. I'm a ramen afficionado, so I'm really picky about the broth- and this place nailed it beautifully. Easily made my top five ramen spots tonight! Thanks for the experience- we will all certainly be back.

This is by far the most Aunthetic Japanese Ramen in Vancouver minus a glass of Sapporo. I have had Ramen in Japan so I can spot fake ones. First, it's all about the temperature of the soup & taste. Then the noodles ! Yaguchiya is a must try.

I heard about this restaurant and went to look for it. It was easy to spot from across the mall where it's right next to the Cactus Club and Sushi Garden. I haven't had ramen since I went to Japan a couple months ago and it really brought me back to Tokyo. I ordered the Miso ramen and the broth was great, the nights have been getting colder so it's a nice time to get a hot meal. I ordered an egg and it was poached just right and the chausu was really good! Thank you for the meal!

Tonight was my first visit at this ramen shop and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the thick noodles, especially when I ordered hard noodles and it retained that firmness after sitting awhile. The portioning was great; I ordered the medium size and it was perfect for me.
I really loved having the addition of garlic, ginger, and vinegar available on the side for when I had eaten half and wanted to change the taste of the remaining portion. Oh, and the kakuni was delicious!
I'm really glad this is not too far from my place because now I don't have to travel downtown for some yummy ramen.

The broth is delicious and the thick noodles are filling, just wished that the chasiu were not paper thin.

The ramen broths (House special) is pretty flavorful with soft egg. Wasn't able to order the side combination because they run out of rice for the night.
Will try the Canada Day special if it's still available and Rice on the next visit.

I enjoyed the real Japanese soup and noodle. I especially like their thick noodle, which is different from that of other ramen shop in downtown.
It was fun to adjust the taste by myself(by adding vinegar, grated ginger, garlic, pepper, and spicy bean past) and that reminded me the ramen restaurants in Japan.

I really liked the soup and the noodle. The chasu, however, were too lean and chewy for my liking. I ordered the "pork belly chasu" on the side hoping it'd be more fatty but it turned out to be the exact same chasu that came with the bowl; which was disappointing. Overall though, it's definitely the best ramen place I've tasted in Burnaby.

This is my first Facebook Review.
Today after work, I visited the newly opened yaguchiya ramen shop near Metrotown and ordered a medium yachinoya special ramen, and a kakuni.
Yachinoya is a small shop with only 16 seats and two rear parking, so I was very surprised that the atmosphere of the shop, and the items I had, reminded me so much of the kanto and yokohama tastes I missed so much.
The seasoned egg was cooked properly, and I especially liked the toppings that came with the ramen, as well as the free condiments provided.
Highly recommended. I look forward to the day that abura soba becomes one of the menu items.
