Vegan Ramen - ビーガンラーメン

Last but not least, we will talk about our Vegan ramen! A very important ramen on our menu since we want any Vegan or Vegetarian customers to enjoy Japanese style ramen too! It’s completely meat-free, no MSG and no egg or dairy product.

While this ramen as isn’t traditional as our normal Iekei style ramen, we are still creating a ramen bowl with noodles and fresh vegetable toppings.

The soup base is made in house with a combination of vegetable broth and our Soybeans paste to bring a creamy texture to the soup. For the noodles, we cook noodles which is egg free, however customers can request the normal egg noodles that we use for our ramen. We then top the ramen with fresh vegetables. Spring seasonal leaves, kabocha, lotus roots, young corn and baby tomatoes. You aren’t limited to these toppings though, feel free to add anything extra from our topping menu!

Yaguchiya Special Ramen - 矢口家スペシャルラーメン

Have you tried the most popular choice on our menu? The #1 choice on our menu is the Yaguchiya Special Ramen! This signature ramen is a Shoyu based ramen that we’ve been proudly serving for over 24 years!

So far on our blog, we’ve talked about some of the main flavors of ramen and how we serve them at Yaguchiya Ramen. These flavors being Shoyu, Shio, Miso and Spicy.  Shoyu is the most famous flavor of ramen out of all of them and the one we recommend the most! It’s classic flavor is a must try and we want to offer the most authentic Iekei style Shoyu for the best value.

Shoyu Ramen at Yaguchiya - 醤油ラーメン

Today we want to talk a bit about Shoyu Ramen. Shoyu is Japanese for “soy sauce”. Shoyu is probably the most famous flavor of ramen and almost every ramen shop serves this flavor. But what makes the Shoyu ramen at Yaguchiya Ramen, different from everyone else?

 

As we’ve mentioned before, Yaguchiya Ramen serves Iekei style ramen which has originated from Yokohama Japan. “Shoyu” is the classic flavor of this particular style of ramen. Which means our signature ramen on our menu is our Shoyu!
Our Shoyu ramen is made up of our Iekei soup base, which is a mix of chicken and pork added with some delicious chicken oil. Next we blend this soup base with Shoyu which is made in house from our very own recipe! The ramen is the topped with the classic toppings of Iekei style, which is spinach, seaweed and chashu.
We also offer a “Special” version of the Shoyu, which is all the normal toppings with more seaweed, more chashu, shredded leek and our seasoned egg!
